Instruction
Victor takes on the challenge of teaching theory, creativity, improvisational skills, ear training, and the application of chords and their progressions to students eager to learn. He understands that very few methods or teachers tackle these difficult skills, so he has spent years perfecting his methods because being creative and having improvisational skills are crucial to aspiring professional musicians. His instruction is held in such high esteem that he is in demand locally to provide coaching for other instructors and recording artists. He periodically teaches Master Classes and workshops at the prestigious William Jessop University in Rocklin, CA.
Performance
Due to his vast experience as a seasoned and well-respected pianist, Victor was selected as a Music Director and Senior Pianist for Nordstrom's department store at the highly regarded Roseville Galleria. Influenced by Herbie Hancock, who is a friend of the family, he has performed live with such gospel, pop, rhythm & blues, and jazz artists as Darryl Coley, Raw East, Kirk Franklin, Rush, Bryan Duncan, Leon Padilla, Regina Bell, Larnell Harris, Fred Hammond, Anita Baker, and Michael W. Smith. He has also played piano with world-famous New York Jazz Bassist Glen Schutz, Janet Jackson's Bass player Derek Allen, Bobby Brown's keyboard player Dennis Austin, and was the former keyboardist for smooth jazz artist NBA Star Wayman Tisdale.
Recording & Studio work
Victor has worked extensively in recording studioson all stages of the production process in major markets spanning from Chicago to Los Angeles. He has composed keyboard and vocal arrangements for groups including Raw East, Lighthouse, Voices, Touch, and Boys of Paradise. He also composes keyboard arrangements for Derek Allen (D.O.A.) who is a staff writer for A.T.V. publishing, owned by Michael Jackson. His latest project is overseeing production of a series of CD's featuring instrumental songs that are easy to listen to, written with the specific goal of lowering stress and assisting meditation on the beautiful wonders of life.
